Product Overview
Tag | His |
Host Species | Human |
Accession | NP_057466.1 |
Synonym | CD244, 2B4, NAIL, NKR2B4, Nmrk, SLAMF4, CD244 molecule |
Background | CD244 (Cluster of Differentiation 244) is a human protein encoded by the CD244 gene.[5] It is also known as Natural Killer Cell Receptor 2B4.This gene encodes a cell surface receptor expressed on natural killer cells (NK cells) (and some T cells) mediating non-major histocompatibility complex (MHC) restricted killing. The interaction between NK-cell and target cells via this receptor is thought to modulate NK-cell cytolytic activity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. CD244 can also be expressed on non-lymphocytes such as eosinophils, mast cells and dendritic cells. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Arg 221) of human 2B4 (NP_057466.1) was produced, with a His tag at the C-terminus. |
Source | HEK293 |
Predicted N Terminal | Cys 22 |
AA Sequence | Met 1-Arg 221 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant 2B4 comprises 211 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 23.8 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the rh 2B4 protein migrates as an approximately 45-50 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
Purity | Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method |
Bioactivity | Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized human 2B4 at 2 ug/ml (100 ul/well) can bind human CD48. The EC50 of human CD48 is 0.39 ug/ml. |
Formulation | Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4 |
Stability | Recombinnat Proteins are stable for up to 1 year from date of receipt at -70°C |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Storage | Store recombinant protein under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
