Product Overview
Description | Recombinant Human C-X-C Motif Chemokine 3 is produced by our E.coli expression system and the target gene encoding Ala35-Asn107 is expressed with a 6His tag at the N-terminus. |
Accession | P19876 |
Synonym | C-X-C Motif Chemokine 3; GRO-Gamma (1-73); Growth-Regulated Protein Gamma; GRO-Gamma; Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 2-Beta; MIP2-Beta; GRO-Gamma (5-73); CXCL3; GRO3; GROG; SCYB3 |
Gene Background | C-X-C Motif Chemokine 3 (CXCL3) is a secreted protein that belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CXC) family. CXCL3 controls the migration and adhesion of monocytes and mediates its effect on its target cell by interacting with a cell surface chemokine receptor called CXCR2. In addition, CXCL3 is thought to play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. |

Target Details
Target Function | Ligand for CXCR2. Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) shows a fivefold higher chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes. |
Subcellular Location | Secreted. |
Protein Families | Intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family |
