Product Overview
Tag | N/A |
Host Species | Human |
Synonym | EPG, Epigen, PRO9904, ALGV3072, FLJ75542, EPGN, Epithelial mitogen. |
Background | EPGN is an EGF-related polypeptide growth factor that signals through the ErbB receptor-1. EPGN is expressed in numerous tissues, including the testis, liver, heart and in certain tumor cells. EPGN is mitogenic for fibroblasts and epithelial cells. Human EPGN is originally synthesized as a glycosylated 14.7 kDa transmembrane precursor protein, which is processed by proteolytic cleavage to produce a mature soluble sequence. |
Description | Epigen Recombinant Human expressed in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 72a.a. and having a molecular weight of 7.9 kDa. Epigen is purified by unique purification methods. |
