Synonym | Folate Receptor 1, Ovarian Tumor-Associated Antigen MOv18, Adult Folate-Binding Protein, Folate Receptor 1 (Adult), Folate Receptor Adult, Folate Receptor Alpha, KB Cells FBP, FR-Alpha, FOLR, FBP, Folate Binding Protein, FOLR1. |
Background | Folate Receptor 1, also known as FOLR1, is a part of the folate receptor family whose members bind folic acid. FOLR1 binds to folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and facilitates transfer of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the cells. FOLR1 is either attaches to membranes through a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exists in a soluble form. FOLR1 is also needed for embryonic development and normal cell proliferation. |
Description | FOLR1 Human Recombinant expressed in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 218a.a. (26-234a.a.) and having a molecular weight of 25.6kDa (Molecular size on SDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 28-40kDa).FOLR1 is expressed with a 6a.a. His tag at C-Terminus and purified by unique purification methods. |
