Product Overview
Description | Recombinant Human TNF-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand Receptor 3 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Ala26-Ala221 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. |
Accession | O14798 |
Synonym | Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 10C; Antagonist Decoy Receptor for TRAIL/Apo-2L; Decoy TRAIL Receptor Without Death Domain; Decoy Receptor 1; DcR1; Lymphocyte Inhibitor of TRAIL; TNF-Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand Receptor 3; TRAIL Receptor 3; TRAIL-R3; TRAIL Receptor Without an Intracellular Domain; CD263; TNFRSF10C; DCR1; LIT; TRAILR3; TRID |
Gene Background | Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 10C (TNFRSF10C) is a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol-linked membrane protein which binds TRAIL with high affinity. TNFRSF10C has the TRAIL-binding extracellular cysteine-rich domains, lacks the intracellular signaling domain. As a result, binding of TRAIL to TRAIL R3 doesn’t transduce an apoptosis signal. The expression of TRAIL R3 gene has been shown to protect cells bearing TRAIL R1 and/or TRAIL R2 from TRAIL-induced apoptosis. |
Molecular Mass | 21.78 KDa |
Apmol Mass | 38-58 KDa, reducing conditions |
Formulation | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.2. |
Endotoxin | Less than 0.1 ng/µg (1 EU/µg) as determined by LAL test. |
Purity | Greater than 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE. (QC verified) |
Biological Activity | Not tested |
Reconstitution | Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at ≤ -20°C, stable for one year after receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at ≤ -20°C for 3 months. |
Shipping | The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature listed below. |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Target Details
Target Function | Receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL. Lacks a cytoplasmic death domain and hence is not capable of inducing apoptosis. May protect cells against TRAIL mediated apoptosis by competing with TRAIL-R1 and R2 for binding to the ligand. |
Subcellular Location | Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor, GPI-anchor. |
Database References | |
Tissue Specificity | Higher expression in normal tissues than in tumor cell lines. Highly expressed in peripheral blood lymphocytes, spleen, skeletal muscle, placenta, lung and heart. |
