Product Overview
Description | Recombinant Mouse Platelet-derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Leu25-Glu524 is expressed with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus. |
Accession | P26618 |
Synonym | Platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha; PDGF-R-alpha; PDGFR-alpha; Alpha platelet-derived growth factor receptor;CD140 antigen-like family member A; Platelet-derived growth factor alpha receptor; CD140a; PDGFRA |
Gene Background | Platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR) are cell surface tyrosine kinase receptors for members of the platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) family. The PDGF family consists of PDGF-A, -B, -C and -D, which form either homo- or heterodimers (PDGF-AA, -AB, -BB, -CC, -DD). The four PDGFs are inactive in their monomeric forms. PDGFs bind to the protein tyrosine kinase receptors PDGF receptor-α and -β. These two receptor isoforms dimerize upon binding the PDGF dimer, leading to three possible receptor combinations, namely -αα, -ββ and -αβ. PDGFRα and PDGFRβ are members of the class III RTK family. Inappropriate PDGFRα and PDGFRβ signaling has been linked to a number of proliferative disorders. |

Reconstitution | Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at ≤ -20°C, stable for one year after receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at ≤ -20°C for 3 months. |
Shipping | The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature listed below. |
