Product Overview
Tag | His |
Host Species | Rhesus |
Accession | XP_001085935.2 |
Synonym | IGFBP1 Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1; IBP-1; IGF-binding protein 1; IGFBP-1; Placental protein 12; PP12 |
Background | Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (IGFBP1) is encoded by 259 amino acid (aa) with 25 aa residue signal peptide that is processed to generate the 234 aa residue mature protein. IGF-binding proteins prolong the half-life of the IGFs and have been shown to either inhibit or stimulate the growth promoting effects of the IGFs on cell culture. They alter the interaction of IGFs with their cell surface receptors. Promotes cell migration. Regulation of Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF) transport and uptake by Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Proteins (IGFBPs). |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the rhesus IGFBP1 (Met23-Asn281) was expressed, fused with a His tag at the C-terminus. |
Source | HEK293 |
Predicted N Terminal | Ala 48 |
AA Sequence | Met23-Asn281 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant rhesus comprises 245 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 26.7 KDa. |
Purity | >98% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method |
Bioactivity | Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Rhesus IGFBP1-His at 10 ug/ml (100 ul/well) can bind biotinylated human IGF1 with a linear range of 12.5-100 ng/ml. |
Formulation | Recombinant Rhesus IGFBP1 Protein (His Tag) was lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4 |
Stability | Recombinant Rhesus IGFBP1 protein is stable up to 1 year at -70°C |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Storage | Store the protein under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
