Product Overview
Description | Recombinant Rhesus Macaque Intercellular adhesion molecule 1 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Gln28-Glu480 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. |
Accession | Q5NKV6 |
Synonym | Intercellular adhesion molecule 1; ICAM1; ICAM-1; CD54 |
Gene Background | Intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM1) is known as CD54. ICAM-1 is constitutively present on endothelial cells, but its expression is increased by proinflammatory cytokines. The endothelial expression of ICAM-1 is increased in atherosclerotic and transplant-associated atherosclerotic tissue and animal models of atherosclerosis. Additionally, ICAM-1 has been implicated in the progression of autoimmune diseases. ICAM proteins are ligands for the leukocyte adhesion protein LFA-1 (integrin alpha-L/beta-2). During leukocyte trans-endothelial migration, ICAM1 engagement promotes the assembly of endothelial apical cups through ARHGEF26/SGEF and RHOG activation. |
Molecular Mass | 50.2 kDa |
Apmol Mass | 70-115 kDa, reducing conditions |
Formulation | Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4. |
Endotoxin | Less than 0.1 ng/ug (1 EU/ug) as determined by LAL test. |

Reconstitution | Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at ≤ -20°C, stable for one year after receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at ≤ -20°C for 3 months. |
Shipping | The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature listed below. |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
