Background | Adaptor-associated kinase 1 (AAK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase of the NAK kinase. Along with GAK, AAK1 regulates clathrin-mediated endocytosis by phosphorylating the μ subunits of both AP-1 and AP-2 trafficking adaptors. The phosphorylation increases the affinity of AP2 for membranes and induces a conformational change enabling cargo recruitment by this adaptor. AAK1 was also shown to play a positive role in regulating the Notch pathway. |
Description | Recombinant human AAK1 (1-465) was produced by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells, fused with a GST tag at N-terminus. This protein is purified with our unique purification methods. |
