Synonym | dJ94G16.1, RP1-94G16.1 |
Background | Discoidin, also known as DCBLD1, contains 1 CUB domain, 1 F5/8 type C domain and 1 LCCL domain. It is a 715 amino acid single-pass membrane protein. Discoidin has a discoidin I-like domain which shares a common C-terminal region of about 11 amino acids with the FA58C domain, but whose N-terminal 4 amino acids are much less conserved. Discoidin gene contains 31 distinct gt-ag introns. Transcription produces 18 different mRNAs, 16 alternatively spliced variants and 2 unspliced forms. Discoidin is expected to localize in various compartments. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the human DCBLD1 (Q8N8Z6-2) (Met1-Val459) was expressed with a His tag at the C-terminus. |
Source | HEK293 |
Predicted N Terminal | Glu 35 |
AA Sequence | Met1-Val459 |
Molecular Weight | The recombinant human DCBLD1 consists of 436 a.a. and predicts a molecular mass of 48.4 KDa. It migrates as an approximately 65 KDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
Purity | >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method |
