Product Overview
Description | Recombinant Human Follicle-Stimulating Hormone Subunit Beta is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Asn19-Glu129 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus. |
Accession | P01225 |
Synonym | Follitropin Subunit Beta; Follicle-Stimulating Hormone Beta Subunit; FSH-B; FSH-Beta; Follitropin Beta Chain; FSHB |
Gene Background | Follitropin Subunit β (FSHB) is a secreted protein that belongs to the glycoprotein hormones subunit β family. The pituitary glycoprotein hormone family includes follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid-stimulating hormone. FSHB exists in a heterodimer of a common α chain and an unique β chain that confers biological specificity to thyrotropin, lutropin, follitropin, and gonadotropin. FSHB stimulates development of follicle and spermatogenesis in the reproductive organs. Defects in FSHB are a cause of isolated follicle-stimulating hormone deficiency (IFSHD). |

Reconstitution | Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100μg/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at ≤ -20°C, stable for one year after receipt. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at ≤ -20°C for 3 months. |
Shipping | The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature listed below. |
