Background | HIPK3 (homeodomain interacting protein kinase 3) is a member of the HIPK family and is involved in apoptosis (1). JNK regulates the expression of HIPK3 in prostate cancer cells and this contributes to increased resistance to Fas receptor-mediated apoptosis by reducing the interaction between FADD and caspase-8 (2). HIPK3 has been reported to phosphorylate FADD and is implicated in multidrug resistance in a number of tumors. HIPK3 increases transcription factor SF-1 activity leading to increased steroidogenic gene expression in response to cAMP signaling. |
Description | Recombinant human HIPK3 (163-562) was produced by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells, fused with a His tag at N-terminus. This protein is purified with our unique purification methods. |
