Background | USP16 (ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 16) is a deubiquitinating enzyme belonging to the ubiquitin-specific protease (USP) family and is involved in transcriptional regulation that controls cell differentiation, cell cycle and apoptosis through modulations with p16 Ink4a and p19 Arf. Downregulation of USP16 by truncated HBx may contribute to the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells (1). USP16 may also play a crucial role in provoking the self-renewal and/or senescence pathways in Down syndrome through the removal of ubiquitin from H2AK119, a critical mark for the maintenance of several somatic tissues (2). |
Description | Recombinant human USP16 (187-end) was produced by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells, fused with a GST tag at N-terminus. This protein is purified with our unique purification methods. This protein is purified with our unique purification methods. |
