Synonym | CD107b, Lamp-2, Lamp-2a, Lamp-2b, Lamp-2c, LampII, LGP-B, Mac3 |
Background | LAMP2 (Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2), also known as CD17b (Cluster of Differentiation 17b), is a member of a family of membrane glycoproteins. This glycoprotein provides selectins with carbohydrate ligands. In human, LAMP2, the causative gene of Danon disease, located on chromosome Xq24, encodes the lysosome-associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2). LAMP-2 deficiency, or Danon disease, is a rare X-linked lysosomal disease characterized by cardiomyopathy, vacuolar myopathy, and mental retardation. LAMP2 cardiomyopathy is an X-linked and highly progressive myocardial storage disorder associated with diminished survival, which clinically resembles sarcomeric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. |
Description | A DNA sequence encoding the mouse LAMP2 (P17047-1) extracellular domain (Leu 26-Asn 379) was fused with a His tag at the C-terminus and a signal peptide at the N-terminus. |
Source | HEK293 |
Predicted N Terminal | Leu 26 |
AA Sequence | Leu 26-Asn 379 |
Molecular Weight | The secreted recombinant mouse LAMP2 comprises 365 a.a. and has a calculated molecular mass of 40.6 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the recombinant protein migrates as an approximately 70-80 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
Purity | >97% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Endotoxin | < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method |
Bioactivity | Please contact us for detailed information |
Formulation | Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. |
Stability | The recombinant proteins are stable for up to 1 year from date of receipt at -70°C. |
Usage | For Research Use Only |
Storage | Store the protein under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
